Argent Lumber 5 The Society's first steam locomotive, Argent Lumber Company 5, a 2-6-2 Prairie built by Lima in 1910, on display in front of the car barn. Please excuse my thumb in the corner. September, 2022.

On the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, we went to the 22nd annual Washington Township Railroad Fair at Ardenwood Farm in Fremont. The weather was uncomfortably hot. Turnout was good year. Not many people wore masks.

Plymouth locomotive Katie pulled her train from Deer Park to the car barn, where they had just built a track loop. A brakeman said that they were able to carry more people by going that way instead of from Ardenwood Station to Deer Park. They had to load and unload the train only once each trip because they did not stop at the car barn.

There were no operating steam locomotives, but the Society's recently acquired locomotive, Argent Lumber Company 5, a 2-6-2 Prairie built by Lima in 1910, was on display in front of the car barn.

Katie 1965 Plymouth locomotive Katie has just pulled her train cab-first into Deer Park. She will run around the train and couple onto the other end. Having a loop at the car barn allows the locomotive to pull the train the whole way. September, 2022.

We didn't stay for long because of a health problem I am having, but I enjoyed the walk.
