A great site! I've loved the cars for half a century. Add to Bibliography-"Anatomy of the San Francisco Cable Car", Frank Parker, (c)James Ladd Delkin,1946,Stanford University. Good illustrations. Pre Merger. Also- Trains Magazine, Nov. 1947,pp8/11. C eck out P10- "The 56-cent Grand Tour by Charles Small. Map p10 shows all lines. I copied 9 of the map and color coded each line. any interest? Great Site, however I think you will find April 24, 2000 is the 100th anniversery of Hallidie's DEATH, not birth. Had he been born in 1900 it would be 27 years after the cable car was invented. Bob Townley

Joe, that other Cable Car page is a pain to get into, I'll keep my correspondence to you either here or e-mail. I have a password and have tried about three times and never get in . The password is ok , archives, no archives, etc I end up going off into s me dead end.
